Based on the novels written by Ann Cleeves, ‘Vera’ follows Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope as she tackles a new set of compelling cases.
In the first episode, DCI Vera Stanhope investigates charred remains in an abattoir furnace, and the harrowing circumstances that led to the murder.
