Recording ADR for ‘Honey Boy’ feature film

We recorded ADR with the character of the 12 year old Otis, played by Noah Jupe. Noah was positioned in our booth within line of sight of our engineers and other persons involved in the session whilst we connected to a pairing studio. Operating from there, the director and dialogue were able to monitor the ADR being recorded and to feedback to Noah in realtime.

‘Honey Boy’ tells the story of a 12-year-old boy named Otis who begins to find success as a television star only to have his his abusive, alcoholic father return and take over as his guardian. The film then follows both Otis and his father over the following decade.
