Recording ADR for ‘The BFG’ with Steven Spielberg
We had the pleasure of recording ADR for the lead ‘Sophie’, along side direction from Steven Speilberg, in his adaptation of The BFG.
Stephen dialled into the studio via Skype to video conference with Rebecca Hall (‘Sophie’) while Skywalker Sound dialled in via Source Connect. George Atkins was lucky enough to be the ADR mixer on this session. All the ADR work for Ruby’s character was done within 6 hours.
Roald Dahl’s 1982 childrens book, The BFG, follows an orphan girl who befriends a warm-hearted giant, taking her to Giant Country, where they set out to stop the man-eating giants that are invading the human world.
Starring; Rebecca Hall, Ruby Barnhill, Mark Rylance, Jemaine Clement and Bill Hader.
