ADR for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – ‘Black Star Dancing’ Video.

For this video we had the film director Dan Cadan in the studio with actor John Thompson to record the ADR over the original Bernard Manning footage. To assist John with the delivery of the lines we needed to setup some cues with Ediprompt to play back with Edicue (our cuing system).

To match the audio as best we could we decided to record the ADR with just an SM57 microphone, as this is the microphone that closely matches what Bernard appears to be using in the original footage. The microphone was held by John and was recorded in the booth. All other FX to the audio recorded were applied at the post production stage.
